Dr. Gates has been studying veterinary dentistry since her graduation, when she worked with one of the first veterinary dental specialists in the United States. She has been a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society for more than 20 years and continues to attend seminars, conferences, and labs to increase her expertise in dental surgery. She has successfully completed two master's level courses in restorations, oral surgery, and orthopedics at the Animal Dental Training Center in Baltimore; and lectures and labs in Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gates also lectures and provides demonstrations and training in veterinary dentistry throughout the Sacramento area.

Dr. Jamie Anderson is board-certified in Veterinary Dentistry and Small Animal Internal Medicine and has over 20 years of experience diagnosing and treating oral and dental diseases, especially in patients with complex medical conditions. She has served as part-time faculty in the U.C. Davis Dentistry and Oral Surgery department while practicing in specialty referral practices in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay area. Dr. Anderson has written articles and book chapters on oral conditions, and has lectured to veterinarians throughout the country.
