The Puppy Wellness Program is designed to help you practice and maintain proper preventive health care for you new puppy and give them a great start towards a long and healthy life.  From puppy shots to a healthy diet and socialization, we are here to help with your new family member.  

The first few months of your puppy?s life are the time when your new pet is most at risk from contagious diseases and parasites and in need of many vaccines. 

Regular veterinary care, vaccinations, socialization and training advice are essential components in keeping your newest family member as healthy as possible. 

To achieve this goal we offer a Discount Package for all recommended preventive care for the first year of your puppy's life including unlimited exams/office visits and year round flea and heartworm prevention.  This vaccination schedule and treatment plan follows the recommendations of the American Animal Hospital Association.

AGE: 6 TO 8 WEEKS

• Complete Physical examination: Evaluation for any congenital abnormalities or other signs of illness, initiate proper nutrition, socialization and housetraining.
  
• DHPP Vaccination (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus combination)
  
• Fecal Analysis (Screen for intestinal parasites)
  
• Deworming
  
• Begin Monthly Heartworm Preventative and Flea Control
  
• Permanent Microchip Identification (This can be performed at any visit, or during the spay/neuter)
  
• Puppy Socialization Play Group:  To help assist your puppy with his/her social deveopment your puppy can be introduced to our Puppy Socialization Play Group offered at Cordova Veterinary Hospital.  The play group is held indoors in a  clean enviroment, with other healthy puppies.  Our play group provides varied and plentiful exposure to people and other dogs, in a low risk enviroment.  With the purchase of the Puppy Package your puppy will receive five play group sessions at no additional cost.

AGE: 10-12 WEEKS

AGE 16 WEEKS

• Complete Physical Examination: Monitoring for normal growth and development, signs of illness and continued socialization training
  
• DHPP Vaccination #3 (Revaccination in 1 year)
  
• Bordetella Vaccinaton #2
• Canine Influenza #2
  
• Rabies Vaccination (Revaccination in 1 yr)
  
• Fecal Analysis
  
• Heartworm/ Flea Medication

AGE 6 MONTHS

• Complete Physical Examination: Monitor for normal growth and development, tooth eruption, any signs of illness
  
• Heartworm/Flea Medication
  
• Schedule for Spay or Neuter  Package includes pre-op exam and bloodwork, canine spay or neuter, IV catheter and fluids, hospital stay, E-collar and pain medication to go home.  Spay and neuter services not included in Basic Puppy Wellness Plan.
• Continued unlimited exams/office visits until end plan term.
